Strulen Architect Studio Design directions for review

Two directions for the studio website.

Each one is a working prototype of the first two sections, the opening screen and selected work, at desktop and phone size. Open them, scroll them, and tell me which way to build.

Direction A opening screen: a lone figure beneath a vast concrete canopy.

Direction A

Mass & Measure

Black ground, image led. Every photograph holds a person, so the building is shown at scale rather than described. A measuring rail reads the page down the right edge.

Direction B opening screen: an architect walking a studio wall of pinned drawings.

Direction B

The Working Set

Light ground, type and index led. The studio is shown working rather than the building posed. Work arrives as a numbered index, and one held frame opens as you move down it.

Ridge House is the only project carried in the studio's own materials. It is at design development and is shown that way. Everything else is marked as a concept study. No addresses, team names, telephone numbers, years or client names appear, because none are present in the brand guide or the pitch deck.

Photography licensed from Lummi. Type is Bomstad Display and Poppins, the brand's own faces. These pages are a design proposal, not a live site.
